Volkswagen Vento Sport Edition for 2018

This edition will bring some sporty upgrades that would add to the visual appeal of this sedan. The same mechanics would be retained at the same time as can be found on the current model that is for sale.  This model is scheduled to be launched soon by Volkswagen India. The prices of the Vento Sport edition are not known yet, but the Volkswagen Vento is sold with an on road price of Rs 9.36 lakh and it the Sport edition would be sold on a slight premier on this price tag.

The Volkswagen Vento is sold as a C segment sedan and the Sport edition will come with visual upgrades that would lend a fresh appeal to the Vento sedan. This variant would help increase attention to this sedan as the next gen model is scheduled for launch some time away.




Images of the car indicate that it would get black decals, a spoiler and roof wrap. The grille would have a black finish along with a glossy roof wrap black in color. The ORVMs come with a carbon fiber finish and the rear has a black finished lip spoiler. The sedan would also flaunt 16 inch Portage alloy wheels that are dark grey in color, complimenting the overall look. The upgrades to the cabin interiors are not known as yet, but the Sport edition is likely to be based on the Highline Plus variant that is the range topping trim.

This trim is top of the line and packs in all premier features that include faux leather upholstery, leather wrapped gearshift knob and steering wheel. Other amenities include a touch screen infotainment unit with reverse camera, MirrorLink connectivity as well as ORVMs that are electrically foldable. The Vento also comes with ABS safety feature and dual airbags. There would be LED DRLs and LED headlamps.

The powertrain of this car would continue with the 1.2 liter TSI petrol engine as well as the 1.6 liter MPI petrol engine. The latter would be paired with a seven speed DSG transmission system as well as a five speed manual gearbox. The diesel variants include a 1.5 liter TDI engine that comes paired with a seven speed automatic transmission or a five speed manual gearbox. The Highline Plus model being priced Rs 12 to 13 lakh onwards, it is expected that the Vento Sport would come at a slight premier on such rates.
