There are a plethora of cars planned for launch by Tata Motors in the passenger vehicle segment in the financial year 2018-19. The models that are scheduled for launch have been showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 which includes Nexon AMT, Tata H5X and 45X hatchback along with the race car TaMo RaceMo.
Tata Motors definitely pulled in a lot of the crowd at the Auto Expo that was held in February 2018. Two concept cars that were showcased here, Tata 45X and Tata H5X were definitely crowd pullers as they showcased designs that were bold and contemporary and different from what is usually launched by Tata Motors.
At the expo the Impact Design 2.0 philosophy was showcased which is the foundation on which the forthcoming Tata Motors cars are based on which include models like Tigor, Tata Tiago, Tata Hexa, Tata Nexon and the forthcoming models. If we look at the upcoming launches, Tata Nexon AMT is an immediate launch that is scheduled in the first half of 2018. The sub compact SUV would now have an automatic variant. This would be the newest offering of this car which will provide a comparable model against other automatic subcompact SUVs in the country. The AMT variant will come with turbo charged diesel and petrol engines. The AMT variants would have powertrains paired with six speed AMT transmission systems. The subcompact SUV with AMT variants would be priced between Rs 6.5 to Rs 10.5 lakhs.
Tata 45X hatchback is a premium hatchback that would be launched in the space that has competitor models like Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and others. This car was showcased at Auto Expo 2018 whose design underpinnings are based on the Advanced Modular platform. It would probably come fitted with a 1.2 liter petrol and a 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine variant. This car is expected to be launched by the middle or the end of 2019.
The Tata H5X SUV would be based on the Land Rover Discovery Sport framework and it is a premium SUV to be launched in the compact SUV segment. It is set to be powered by the 2 liter Multijet II diesel engine sourced from Fiat. It is likely to be priced in a premium range of Rs 30 to Rs 35 lakhs.

Other launches of the company are Tata Tiago JTP as well as Tamo Racemo which is a race car, the first of its kind to be designed by an Indian car manufacturer.
