There are several launches that are planned by the carmaker, which include facelift models of Ciaz and Ertiga, petrol version of Vitara Brezza and WagonR MPV. The company started 2018 with a bang as the new gen Swift was successfully launched in the country. The showcasing of Future S was also a concept car that was well received when it was shown at the Auto Expo 2018.
Hence the company has much to work towards during the financial year that is coming up. The launch of the new gen Swift was well received with over 60,000 bookings having been placed within a month of the launch of this car. The revelation of the concept cars, Future S and e-Survivor also has raised the expectations bar among consumers in the country.
The company also has plans to launch the Ciaz facelift model, the new gen Ertiga as well as Suzuki Vitara SUV which was seen being run on tests recently. These were not showcased at the Auto Expo but the plans for such launches are being gradually revealed.
The S Cross petrol variant is planned for launch, which would include certain cosmetic upgrades as well. This car would sport certain design changes in the interiors as well as in the exteriors. The petrol variant launch of the car would be done by the middle of 2018.
The Vitara Brezza is also expected to come with a petrol engine. This car has become a best seller in the sub compact SUV segment. Even though the current waiting period for the booked cars is about 6 to 8 months, the petrol variant would also get added to the options among this car’s trim versions.
You can also expect a facelift version of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga crossover MPV to be launched this year. This crossover MPV has picked up modest sales since its initial launch in August 2017. The new Ertiga would be more feature rich and come with a longer wheelbase.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift version is scheduled for launch soon and would be having both cosmetic as well as mechanical changes. The facelift version would have two additional powertrains as options to the existing trim models.
The Suzuki Vitara SUV has been spied on test runs recently and that is an indication that the company might be planning to launch it in the near future.
